Matteo Alfonsi was born in
Rome,
Italy,
in 1979; where he is graduated in architecture at the University ''La
Sapienza''. He started his artistic activity with the traditional painting, but
he has been soon captured by the digital philosophy, that now characterizes all
his works. His art finds inspiration in fetish culture, pinup girls, electro
body music, Andy Warhol and also Tim Burton and David Lynch’s movies in
particular. He especially loves everithing is synthetic and artificial.
He worked in
Rome,
Milan,
London and
Paris where is actually
working as architect and 3d visualiser.
Matteo Alfonsi took part to some collectives exhibitions
like ''Frammenti'' (Villa Sciarra, Frascati, 2003), ''La torre di Babele''
(Torretta Valadier,
Rome
,
2005). And as solo exhibitions at Linux Club (2006,
Rome
),
for ''amigdala''(Locanda Atlantide, Rome 2007) and for the Club Antichrist (
London
, 2007 and 2009). He has been also selected for the
10th anniversary of the Dirty Show, international art exhibition: 6-14 feb 2009

).
