Maria Sarkis use erotic symbols and typical representations of sexual fantasies. Knowing their psychological and philosophic reach, she decided to opt for a simple approach in joyful colored backgrounds, making of her paintings a space of freedom.

 

 "The poignant pain and the deep generosity are everywhere … That is why I believe in a deeper, but more free and more practical philosophy, which does not weigh down us of fundamentalism and fault.

What is important to me the most is to capture a brief thought, an escaped feeling, an image whatever it is, and to express it on a canvas, and to share the essence."
 
 Formation

1994-1997  Thechnical Baccalaureat in interior design at “institute technique des soeurs des saints-coeurs” Beirut-Lebanon 1997-2000  Diploma in interior design at « institut des soeurs des saints-cœurs » Beirut-Lebanon 2000-2004  Diploma in Painting and fine arts at the Academy of fine arts of Beirut –section 2-Lebanon   2005-2007  Lectured and gave courses in history of art and graphic art at 2 institutes : TLC institute and Polyglot College-Lebanon
